We recently had the honour of presenting our accreditation to Besix Watpac at the Woodford Juvenile Detention Centre. It was wonderful to have Delo James and Site Safety Advisor Kate in attendance, and thanks to Mark for presenting the accreditation certificate.This accreditation recognises their site for having completed the training to become accredited in suicide prevention.

Located in Hopeland, just outside Chinchilla, the Ulinda Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a cutting-edge lithium battery storage facility under construction. This site will play a vital role in providing reliable power to Chinchilla and the surrounding communities, enhancing energy stability and sustainability in the region. This project is led by CPP, a South Australian-based company. CPP is also a proud national partner of MATES in Construction.
Since engaging with them, we have rolled out a couple of GAT’s and a Connector Session.
Numbers GAT trained on site are around 80, with 10 Connectors.

With Lend Lease achieving this accreditation while delivering a project at Brisbane Domestic Airport presents unique challenges, as the team must navigate the complexities of working within a busy, operational airport environment.
Despite these challenges, the project's dedication to maintaining high safety and mental health standards by implementing the MATES program.
